About

Have you spent hours scouring the internet trying to find inspiration to get “fit”, “healthy”, “lose that weight”, “make more money”, “get organized”, or *insert other keywords here*?

Admittedly, I have just like millions of others. I’ve struggled for years to accept my body and love who I am in all stages of life.

Seeing hundreds of before and after photos and videos was my source of inspiration to FINALLY do the thing and get hot.

But truth be told, the only thing I really needed to exercise was my own self-worth and treating my body with the love it deserves.

I had a real awakening in my late 20s after leaving a toxic relationship and starving myself as a way to have some semblance of control. I was miserable and felt stuck in my emotions and life in general.

Soon I realized there is no before and after unless you count birth and when we part ways with this world. We are always somewhere in the middle of life. You can’t manipulate time, so you might as well embrace what you have now.

With all of the craziness in the world that has become as normal as a setting on a dryer, I’ve learned that trying to control and punish myself never got me to that ideal before and after image of my health, wealth, and happiness.

My dad always says to me “The truth lies somewhere in the middle.” Often in regard to politics, but that’s not why we are here.

This simple saying is something I have taken to heart in so many aspects of my life. Because my truth is here, in the middle of where I am living right now.

I’m not at the beginning of life, nor am I at the end. I’m somewhere midway through my journey. And through it, I am finding joy.

How Can I Help You?

I’ve always felt comfort in comradery. Knowing I’m not alone and there is someone out there that knows what it’s like.

My goal is to help you feel the same and be inspired to find your own joy.

This blog can serve as a gentle reminder that you are doing alright, an encouragement to start or keep going on your own journey, and a resource for any questions you may have along the way.

What I can provide to you is my experience and perspective. It is constantly evolving and I’m eager to share what I’ve learned.

Topics

The biggest passion in my self-love journey has stemmed from finding joy in my body image. But that is only a fraction of what I love spending my time and energy on.

The following encompasses much of what I want to share to help you find your Midway Joy.

  • Reverse dieting
  • Understanding what health looks like for you
  • Plant-based options
  • Tools for Success

As this blog evolves, I expect to pivot and grow the content I share with you. But regardless of the direction this takes me, I will always strive to connect with you and inspire you through your own journey.

Best,

Meredith
